such a blind desperation for love,
she hangs slaughtered hearts
like ornaments reflecting some
sort of thought rather than
manipulative neglect.
such an aggressive desire for
true heart, sentiment,
and romance,
she sees heartbreak and
mistakes it for love.
excuse after excuse,
until anger carves its way in.
how nice of you
to destroy her and call it love,
to be able to live with
peace and freedom
as she goes around
taking pictures with men
who don’t deserve her time,
and tearing up pictures
of men who could build
a home instead of
an overnight tent.
you tore her rights in such a way,
she never gave her innocence
a second glance..
she just handed herself over
into your guilty hands.
