Feel, Deal, Heal is the motto for November. Whoever left, let them go, it’s probably their loss. Whoever is around, appreciate and cherish them and build as many memories as you can, doing whatever fills your life with joy.
Unfortunately, most people will take the easy route, especially if they don’t want to be talked out of something so you may never get the closure you deserve, the apologies you want, the explanations you need. You need to find that for yourself, forgive them for you, let that heavy stuff go. Sometimes the best of people can shock you with some terrible choices or hurtful decisions and They expect you to just be fine. I say screw them. Feel what you need to feel and deal with it the way you need to. That’s the funny thing about the people who are wrong, they always expect you to just roll with the punches and accept what they give when it’s just not enough. And I feel that in my soul this year and I know so many people close to me feel that too. It’s absolutely not okay to not give someone closure. It’s absolutely not okay to walk out on your child because you don’t want to deal with them. It’s absolutely not okay to make someone feel badly because they need help. It’s absolutely not okay to not care about how your actions affect another human being. There are an abundance of things that are not okay and it is perfectly okay for you to feel how you feel about that and no one gets to make you feel any type of way about that.
As Eleanor Roosevelt once said; No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.
Don’t let anyone make you feel like you can’t feel, heal, deal as you need to (in a healthy manner of course). Do it and let November be a month to heal and let go and be truly grateful for all you have, even if it’s in unexpected ways.
As someone who is in a new dynamic in my life, I’m incredibly grateful for my blood family and my chosen family who got me through a difficult year full of massive changes. So I hope everyone feels that love and appreciation and I’m finally in a place of excitement for this new chapter in my life 🥰 And I hope everyone else who holds it all in and doesn’t write it all out like me, finds a way to feel that weight lessen and embrace life whole heartedly. I will always be an advocate for all of you regardless of who doesn’t like the sometimes ugly truth. 🤍
